Yorkshire artist Sarah Venus uses traditional craft skills to create thought-provoking art forms. The Gallery at Ryedale Folk Museum will show a series of her sculptural felt pieces and prints in an exhibition which runs until 20 June 2010. Her three dimensional felt forms are made from the fleeces of rare and minority indigenous sheep, often from the farm flock at her home near Scarborough. This is the first in a series of four shows at the gallery, featuring the best of contemporary arts in Ryedale, North Yorkshire.
Admission to the gallery is free.
Open daily 10am – 4pm.
