Regional Youth Arts Conference for the East Midlands!

‘Youth Arts Transforms Lives- FACT!’

Tuesday 15th June 2010
Royal & Derngate, Northampton
10.30 am- 3.30pm

Brought to you by ENYAN (English National Youth Arts Network) and Royal & Derngate, Northampton….

Have you achieved great outcomes for children and young people with your approach to positive activities and targeted youth support? Are you actively using the arts as a tool for engagement?

We are delighted to launch ENYAN’s National Campaign for 2010/11 ‘Youth Arts Transforms Lives- FACT!’ which is set to demonstrate the power of the arts and its ability to transform lives. This event is the first in a series across the country to launch the campaign, make this message known and to spearhead wider understanding for arts as a tool for engagement.

The event will draw together exceptional examples of youth arts projects from across the East Midlands that have made a real positive difference to the lives of young people, their families and the communities they live in. Leading figures from across the youth arts sector will speak at the conference accompanied by a diverse cross section of young speakers, providing evidence of their encounters with the arts and the difference it has made to their lives.

You will hear directly from young people about their own experiences, be involved in creative breakout workshops and come away bursting with ideas and best practice guidelines in addition to new regional contacts to support you in your work.
The conference is being targeted at those who have little or no current remit for youth arts within their current youth provision and for arts and cultural organisations it offers a networking and celebratory opportunity for those already offering youth arts.
ENYAN encourages you to mark this event in your diaries, full programme and booking details will soon be available as well as an online booking link. In the meantime, please email: to state your interest in attending.

The conference partners are pleased to have subsidised your delegate fees, reducing the amount down to £20 per person! Lunch, refreshments and delegate packs will be provided on the day…

ENYAN is the national membership and advocating body for the youth arts sector in England. The network is delivered by Artswork, the national youth arts development agency and funded by Arts Council South East and Artswork.
