Fundraising on the Fringe

Ok – so you’ve got the best idea for a show ever, you know exactly who you want to cast and have a creative team made in heaven… but you don’t have any money!

Fundraising can often seem like the hardest part of any project – particularly for emerging companies who don’t have the contacts or track record to fall back on.

This workshop will cover the basics of the various funding options available to fringe theatre together with their pros and cons: angel investment, statutory funding, fundraising events and sponsorship.

We’ll look at success stories of each different funding approach as well as a best practice guide and some basic pointers to get you started!

The night will be followed by informal drinks in the bar.

Speaker:

Buffy Sharp – Business Adviser and Funding Specialist.
Alexander Parsonage – Theatre Producer
